Tour Itinerary:

  • 9:30 am: The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel. The exact pick-up time depends on your hotel's location in Cappadocia.
  • You'll meet your local guide and fellow group members, and together, you'll explore the main attractions of Cappadocia.
  • Devrent Valley: Start your day by visiting the famous Devrent Valley, also known as the "Imagination Valley." Here, you'll encounter numerous fairy chimneys with intriguing shapes, such as the camel rock and mushroom-like formations. Enjoy a leisurely walk among these captivating rock formations.
  • Pasabaglari (Monks Valley): This area is also known as Monks Valley, named so because in the 5th century, St. Simeon from Syria lived here as a hermit in one of the cave dwellings. This valley is famous for its fairy chimneys, each with three caps on top.
  • Avanos: Visit Avanos, often called the heart of art and handicrafts in Cappadocia. This small town is renowned for its pottery and ceramics, a tradition dating back 4,000 years to the Hittite civilization. The town is located along the Red River, known as Kizilirmak in Turkish.

Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Goreme Panoramic Viewpoint: Head to the picturesque town of Goreme and take in the stunning panoramic view. This location has gone by various names in history, including Korama and Avcılar, and is still referred to as Maccan (Goreme) by locals.
  • Zelve Open Air Museum: Explore the Zelve Open Air Museum, which was used as a missionary school from the 2nd to the 12th century. The open-air museum is home to the most impressive rock-carved churches and living areas in the Cappadocia region.
  • Esentepe: Enjoy a break on the hill of Esentepe, offering the finest view in the area. From here, you can admire the various valleys and their unique shapes, formed by volcanoes.
  • Uchisar: The tour concludes in Uchisar, a small village famous for its massive castle, once used by Christians. In the region, three castles were constructed similarly, with the others located in Ortahisar and Urgup.
  • 5:00 pm: After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
